Publisher's Summary
With Love from Wish & Co is a heart-warming novel about what we are prepared to give, and give up, in the name of love.
This audiobook includes an exclusive author's note from Minnie Darke.
It was just a little mix-up. No harm done, right?
Marnie Fairchild is the brains and talent behind Wish & Co, a boutique store that offers a bespoke gift-buying service to wealthy clients with complicated lives. Brian Charlesworth is Marnie's most prized customer, and today she's wrapping the perfect anniversary gift for his wife, Suzanne . and a birthday present for his mistress, Leona. What could possibly go wrong?
For years, Marnie's had her heart set on moving Wish & Co to the historic shopfront once owned by her grandfather. When the chance to bid for the property unexpectedly arises, Marnie - distracted - makes an uncharacteristic mistake.
Soon Brian is in a fight to rescue his marriage, and Marnie is scrabbling to keep her dreams alive. And with the situation so complicated, the last thing Marnie needs is to fall for Brian and Suzanne's gorgeous son, Luke.

Entertaining listen
Love Minnie’s stories - she has such an interesting turn of phrase, alternately making me laugh out loud and almost moving me to tears.

Charming!
This audiobook felt like a gift! Really enjoyed it and looked forward to my commutes home. Very Liane Moriarty, but without the horrible characters. Had never really considered gift giving as a valuable love language, but this gave me a whole new perspective.

A gift in itself
This audiobook felt like a well-wrapped gift in itself. Loved the characters, and loved that the well-structured plot centred on secrets and a mix-up. Thought the narration was excellent too, felt like a real performance. Perfect distraction and pick-me-up.

Really disappointed
I've been following Minnie's work since Starcrossed and I'm really disappointed in this one. The narrator was generally fine but the story was the pits. Marnie's a manic pixie yawn and Luke might be the stupidest man alive. I didn't care about them AT ALL but Minnie kept telling me I should? Then show me why I should care!
Absolute worst thing though was the fact the whole story needs me to invest in Brian winning his wife back, and honestly, why should I? He's absolutely awful, it's not a one-mistake cheating thing, it's literally YEARS of disrespect and apparently we're just supposed to shrug and consider him the hero of the piece? Literally give me one reason why. I found the whole book super frustrating because I was just being told how I should feel about things but never shown why I should and it made me feel like a little kid being ordered to hug the stinky, dodgy older relative that you KNOW is awful but apparently your mum doesn't realise it and keeps insisting that that person's great.
