The villagers in the sleepy hamlet of Lychford are divided. A supermarket wants to build a major branch on their border. Some welcome the employment opportunities while some object to the modernization of the local environment.

Enjoyable novella

A hugely enjoyable novella about a town which borders of the fairy realm. A vicar, a hippy and a witch, all nuanced characters, reluctantly join forces to save the town. Tightly written, the village itself is very atmospheric. Makes me want to read more of his work.
