A master's beginning...

I absolutely loved this original piece by Dean Koontz. Briefer than most of his work, but this is his beginning into his masterworks. Horror meets science fiction; he takes what you think you know if a genre and recreates it in your mind in a way that you could have never imagined...

Not dean's best book

Great beginning but lacks the meat of a good story.
The end left me a little bit disappointed.
