Publisher's Summary

Come with us to an Enchanted Place, a forest where Winnie-the-Pooh lived with Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Eeyore, Kanga, and Little Roo. The stories are about Christopher Robin and these good companions having wonderful times getting in and out of trouble. It is all very exciting and, really, quite thrilling no matter how young or old you may be. It is painful to try and imagine what the world would be like without them.

Blackstone Audiobooks presents, from the unabridged collection A.A. Milne's Pooh Classics, the 10 stories of Winnie-the-Pooh performed by Peter Dennis. This is the only reading of these immortal stories authorized by A.A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin, who wrote, "Peter Dennis has made himself Pooh's Ambassador Extraordinare and no bear has ever had a more devoted friend. So if you want to meet the real Pooh, the bear I knew, the bear my father wrote about, listen to Peter."

This collection includes the chapters:
In Which We Are Introduced to Winnie-the-Pooh and Some Bees, and the Stories Begin
In Which Pooh Goes Visiting and Gets Into a Tight Place
In Which Pooh and Piglet Go Hunting and Nearly Catch a Woozle
In Which Eeyore Loses a Tail and Pooh Finds One
In Which Piglet Meets a Heffalump
In Which Eeyore Has a Birthday and Gets Two Presents
In Which Kanga and Baby Roo Come to the Forest, and Piglet Has a Bath
In Which Christopher Robin Leads an Expotition to the North Pole
In Which Piglet is Entirely Surrounded by Water
In Which Christopher Robin Gives a Pooh Party, and We Say Goodbye

Critic Reviews

"This program exemplifies the potential quality audio has for complementing text. Soothing music introduces and links the stories and verses. Subtle sounds of nature immerse the listener in Pooh's world and provide a backdrop for Peter Dennis' enchanting performance. Dennis' ability to switch characters and moods allows him to accurately portray the range of characters in the stories. These talents shine prominently....Dennis expresses the multitude of emotions in a childlike tone which is key to the success of the program. All ages will enjoy this marvelous performance of Milne's words." (AudioFile)
"Congratulations on your outstanding contribution to children and their families. The sort of growth your work inspires speaks for emotional, ethical, and character development." (Parents' Choice)

Child Hood Memories

Was a wonderful walk down childhood lanes. That bought back the thrill of learning to read and the increadible illistrations that were done. Warm and positive memories.
Loved the sound of Piglet and his snuffles and how lost Eeyore gets. Winnei-the-pooh may not have much between his ears but his heart is so stuffed with for love his friends it doesnt matter. Kanga, little Roo Tigger Rabit and Owl make the memories brighter. The love and patience of Christopher Robin for his friends is boundless.
One day i will love the chance to share this with grandchildren

Not the typical Winnie the Pooh

The voice is not really what I thought it would be for Pooh bear & a lot of strange sounds are used for owl & piglet it’s probably a good book if you have never seen or read any Winnie the Pooh stories before but I think the reader ruined it a bit for me by sounding to aged & prestigious when the Pooh I’m used to is “a silly old bear”. Overall the story is decent but very educated language so not for small children I misunderstood some of the context at nearly 30 years old.
