About this listen
What happens if someone dies on a plane?
Can we give Grandma a Viking funeral?
Why don't animals dig up all the graves?
Will my hair keep growing in my coffin after I'm buried?
Every day, funeral director Caitlin Doughty receives dozens of questions about death. In this book she offers factual, hilarious and candid answers to thirty-five of the most interesting questions posed by her youngest fans, sharing the lore and science of what happens to, and inside, our bodies after we die. Why do corpses groan? What causes bodies to turn strange colours during decomposition? and why do hair and nails appear longer after death? The answers are all within...

Interesting
A brilliant listen. Fascinating questions answered with compassion and humour. I discovered questions I had never considered and was entertained the whole way through.

Amazing!
I love the way Caitlin narrates her books. She makes the words come alive! She’s addressed these questions in a way that would make it easy for someone young to understand but also entertaining and informative for adults to listen to.

The best person to tell you about death
Caitlin Doughty is a very charismatic woman with a lot of interesting stories, experiences and facts to tell. If you enjoy watching her YouTube videos Ask a Mortician or listen to her Podcast called Death in the Afternoon, you’ll love her books. She’s funny and someone that is not afraid to tell us the truth about death. It’s not all pretty but every chapter was a delight. Well written, great narration and overall excellent experience.

Another Outstanding Book and Performance
Doughty does it again with this series of questions answered in her signature witty way. Often taking unexpected turns down interesting little branches, her answers are juicy info nuggets.

could only be ready by the author!
the only problem is Caitlin's books are never long enough.
Caitlin really makes her books come to life (ha,ha)
read by my favourite female aspie (an autistic person like myself) but my sisters dream was to be in your line of work and I love your dreams for the good death.

Answering questions even adults have
I may be biased as I love watching Caitlin but…
This book is amazing and I love being able to hear her speak. When Caitlin writes you can almost hear it in her tone, pace and can even internally hear the laugh at her jokes especially if you’ve watched her YT videos but even if you haven’t watching her videos you can now hear her tone if you chose to read her other books.
I love having this book on hand for any questions my niblings have (ages 7-3 currently) to even people like my uncle (age 68 currently). It’s intriguing and very relatable. This book isn’t hard to understand as it’s based at aiming for kids but also delights the wonders adults such as myself have about death.
I recommend this to everyone who is curious with wonder. She is respectful and delightful to listen to.
