Publisher's Summary
BISHOP SULLIVAN
I’ve always known what my future had in store: inheriting the family ranch and having myself a wife and kids to carry on the Sullivan name. Porter Dixon never factored into those plans. We may have spent our teenage years sneaking away to lose ourselves in each other, but he always held me at arm’s length…until the day he up and left without so much as a goodbye.
PORTER DIXON
After everything I’ve lost in my life, it’s important that I keep myself tightly guarded. Especially around Bishop Sullivan. Dad would be rolling in his grave if he found out I was shacking up with a Sullivan, given the bad blood between our families. But eleven years after leaving, I’m back in Laurel Springs with something to prove: I don’t need the Sullivans, nor their land.
Except, damn it all, Bishop has this way of burrowing under my armor. The magnetic draw between us is still too hard to ignore, and what starts out as boss and ranch hand quickly turns into stolen moments and simmering encounters that make it hard to stay angry.
I want to think that love can conquer all and tame my wild heart…but the past isn’t so easy to forget.

So good!
Love me a cowboy with a chip on his shoulder! This was so good I read the ebook first then had to do the audio when it was released. Great setting and side characters, there’s a bit of drama and some hidden truths. Horse rides, evening swims and plenty of spice. Porter and Bishop are so cute and get a well deserved HEA. Narration was excellent!

Story of Bishop and Porter
This is a second chance small town romance, featuring Bishop “Sully” Sullivan and Porter Dixon and is a standalone book. Can I hear you say hunky cowboys! Because that’s what you get to imagine through this whole book. Woo hoo!
Sully and Porter have known each other pretty much their whole lives. They were each other’s firsts and agreed to see each other casually in secret. Porter works on Sully’s family farm but when Porter loses his mum, he feels truly alone, he doesn’t think Sully cares about him as more than a casual thing and decides to leave town. In reality, what happens is he breaks both his own and Sully’s heart.
Fast forward eleven years and Porter returns to their small town looking for a job and ends up back at Sully’s farm. There is lots of pining between the two, and I was super happy when those giant walls started coming down around Porter’s heart to let Sully back in. Swoon! I loved how Sully was happy to lead the way in sharing his feelings as he wasn’t going to miss his second chance with Porter.
This a beautifully written book, so heartfelt, so much emotion and a heck load of healing from the past. There was excellent communication between them the second time around and the whole book felt well paced. The HEA wraps everything up nicely.
The narration, OMG I ❤️ Kale Williams! His voice is so velvety smooth and the cowboy drawl is phenomenal. I could listen to him all day! 10/10
