About this listen
Mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham must discover what could make an entire community disappear - before it's too late - in this thrilling entry in the number-one New York Times best-selling Alpha and Omega series.
In the wilds of the Northern California mountains, all the inhabitants of a small town have gone missing. It's as if the people picked up and left everything they owned behind. Fearing something supernatural might be going on, the FBI taps a source they've consulted in the past: the werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham. But Charles and Anna soon find a deserted town is the least of the mysteries they face.
Death sings in the forest, and when it calls, Charles and Anna must answer. Something has awakened in the heart of the California mountains, something old and dangerous - and it has met werewolves before.

Riveting right till the end!!
Like all fans I have been waiting for the next instalment of Alpha and Omega. Patricia did not disappoint and I have to wonder if she will ever run out of awesome unexpected stories. Just hoping the next one isn't far off...
One criticism of the narration is the voice of Bran is not the same as in the Mercy books. Kinda messes with me...

Wild Sign
I think this is one of the better instalments of Charles’s and Anna’s storyline, it progresses and blends the overall Mercy Thompson universe without pushing it and the ending to Wild Sign leaves several doors wide open for story and character development, although there is a distinct central theme.
If you’re curious about Leah’s origins, this is for you, and I found it to be very satisfying.
I really enjoy the very natural way Patricia Briggs weaves mythology and legend into her storytelling. Not a stand-alone read but builds on the preceding books in the series. Thank you Patty for continuing the series, already impatient for the next one!

great book
I loved this book, it was a good addition to the series. And the impossible came true - Leah was turned into a sympathetic character!
What I didn't love was Halter Graham's choppy narration. I've listened to his narration before and it was a lot better than this. Were this any other book, I would have given it up within first 2 chapters - his style was that grating to me. I also disliked his Ana voice.
I will try to return this audio book and buy an ebook instead, because I will certainly not be listening to this again.
