About this listen
I’m the Dixon who left.
Through the good, bad, and worst imaginable, I stayed gone.
When I return home after a decade, I’m not surprised by the cold reception from my family...or my brother’s best friend.
Emberly Olsen.
I spent my childhood tormenting her.
Now these days with her feel like the cruelest sort of unintended revenge.
We’ve changed.
She’s changed.
Pure confidence and sensuality, but her pouty lips and heavy-lidded eyes scream contempt. And word around town? She’s untouchable.
But after sharing a few drinks, her snide comments turn teasing.
Sneers become smiles.
Huffs change to laughs.
Laughs to moans, sweeter than any sound.
Years of animosity ignite into carnal need and passion.
We can blame it on the whiskey.
I have a feeling we’ll try.
But we aren’t that drunk.

Loved it!
This truly is a very sad story of a boy who was never excepted by his family and blamed for all that was wrong with them. even with proof the family can't except what he says. Very sad and broken family. Made me want to help Kasan and I couldn't stop wanting to know what happens next. Te character of Emberly is also so endearing, loving, strong, fragile and a great person. These books should be made into a mini series!!!

Dislike the title
Just wanted to say I'm not a fan of this title. After reading the whole series, and seeing the connection between the title and the couple involved ... this one just doesn't work for me.
'Fix' - Sawyer's need to fix problems
'Glow' - Madison's exuberant happiness
'Fire' - a no-brainer for Beau's volatile anger
but 'Whiskey'???
I know Cayson is supposed to smell like whiskey, and that Emberley owns a pub... but it really doesn't give any insight to the couple's personalities.
Personally, I think 'Hide' would be a really good title for Cayson's story
