About this listen
Even as a child, Serenity Jones knew she possessed unusual psychic gifts. Now, decades later, she's an acclaimed medium and host of her own widely viewed TV show, where she delivers messages to the living from loved ones who have died. Lately, though, her efforts to boost ratings and garner fame have compromised her clairvoyant instincts.
When Serenity books a young war widow to appear as a guest, the episode quickly unravels, stirring up a troubling controversy. And as she tries to undo the damage – to both her reputation and her show – Serenity finds that pride comes at a high price.

High Expectations
I have always been impressed with the research of JP’s books and have read them sporadically over many years and when alerted to her latest - was happy to invest both the time and credit.
Were my expectations too high? To say I was completely disappointed would be an understatement. This very much felt like one of her junior researchers wrote it….it felt so off the mark and definitely not the quality I had come to expect. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this…disappointing by a mile.

why was this a full credit?
look, my own fault for not realising this was a short story. but why did it cost the same as a full book. I love Picoult, so I bought it immediately, only to find it so short. I'm just frustrated at my own stupidity
