About this listen
How far will he go to belong?
Fierce, famed Highland warrior Broch MacLeod has always been a bastard - until one day he isn’t. And now that he’s discovered his real family, he intends to do whatever it takes to carve a place for himself in it, including wedding the lass known as the Hellion of the Highlands.
What will she do for vengeance?
When strong-willed, independent Katreine Kinntoch is forced to wed her sworn enemy’s son, she vows never to surrender her body or heart to the wickedly handsome, too-cocky Scot. Instead, she intends to make him dislike her so much that he’ll gladly send her back to her home.
How long will it take them to see they are each other’s only hope?
Danger and treachery unexpectedly bring Broch and Katreine closer, but can they trust each other enough to choose love over the ties that bind and the revenge that burns all around them?

I wanted more Broch. Bit disappointing

So I was excited there was finally a story of Broch MacLeod and therefore Katrione Kintoch but I wanted more. Like a longer story. I hated how wh e n Broch found his father and brother he forget about the clan he grew up with and that made me really sad and upset at how the book had been written. I would have thought he told his family he just found about them and at the end taken Katrione to meet them since they had been a big part of his life for so long. And it was a bit disappointing that when Broch told Katrione his brother didn't kill her sister and she refuses to believe him over and over again it begins to wear. It just proved a bit frustrating yet she was the woman Broch wanted even if he was forced into the marriage?! The last 1 hour and maybe 15 minutes were the best.
I guess in the end I had high expectations and this book failed to meet them. I wanted more of Broch e.g. worthy length of a story and I guess I'm ultimately disappointed how this book was written and what was included and not included. It didn't live up to my expectations and hopes I had.
Out of all the books in this series this is the only one in am really disappointed with and sad about. Though I kind of feel like if you've read the rest of the series you'd probably want to read this to know how Broch story ends, plus it gives intro into William MacLean and Brodee Blackwell for book 9 and book 10
Rated the story 3 stars though that might be generous but I have it that because ultimately I wanted to know Broch's story and happy ending. I would relisten to this book when reading to the series again.
Tim Campbell is the perfect narrator and I have nothing but praise for him.
