Publisher's Summary
How degrading. Stuck babysitting a woman because his alpha said so. As pride beta, he has better things to do with his time, like washing his impressive mane, hunting down thugs for fun, and chasing tail - sometimes his own, if his lion is feeling playful.
But his babysitting job takes an unexpected turn when the woman he's assigned guard duty over turns out to be his mate. A female threatened by an outside wolf pack. A woman he wants to call his own. A mate who doesn't fall for his charm. Usually betas leave the roaring to the pride's alpha, but in this case, given his level of frustration, he might have to make an exception. And if anyone doesn't like it, they can kiss his furry tail. Rawr!

The narrator does a great job.
Great Narration. The narrator does a great job with the various voices and the animal sides. Some real laugh out loud moments. BOOK REVIEW Lovely story that starts with a bang. I always enjoy Eve's books due to the humour, tongue in cheek laughs and great heroes and heroines. They always leave me feeling in a happy mood. This book is no different. I enjoyed this book differently from When An Alpha Purrs purely due to the fact book 1 was more about the banter, chasing and sex, while this book shows how to foster and cherish a developing relationship with an abused female wolf shifter. There is also a bit more story line and action thrown in. Hayder is a typical arrogant, vain about his mane, male lion but at the same time is very protective and encouraging of Arabella, trying to get her to see she is stronger than she believes. Hayder somehow maintains his alpha attitude (even though he is the Beta) while helping Arabella build up her damaged self-esteem. I loved what happened when these two first meet and why Arabella was allergic to Hayder was funny. We also have all the lionesses helping Arabella become tougher.
