Repetitive
This story has so much potential! Something different from Mariana Zapata and I genuinely loved the gist of the storyline. The slow burn, the supernatural aspect & the grumpy hero. The characters development was fantastic. The story needed some heavy editing and the repetition was nearly unbearable in the first half of the book. Overall, glad I preserved & still a big Zapata fan.

I loved their chemistry
I loved he chemistry between the two characters and the POV dialogue. I hate when you get a duet and it's only chapter for chapter. hearing them talk like in real life is perfect. another win for MZ

Fabulous narration of a gorgeous story
Both narrators were fantastic in adapting the characters from the great book I had already read and enjoyed. A beautiful slow burn of a story with interesting twists and turns, and lovable but flawed characters. Amazing story and beautiful narration.

I had to struggle through this one
I had originally read the physical copy of this book & really enjoyed it. When I saw the audiobook was available, I thought a re-read but geez this was a struggle listening to the most annoying American accent from Callie Dalton. I would recommend skipping this one & read instead.

this is the first superhero romance book I've read and I love it.
loved that the romance didnt take away from the story. I wish we could see from Alex's point of view tho.

Really enjoyed this.
Funny, quirky story line with a very different take on the superhero trope. A story about finding where you belong. Narrators were awesome and I'm thrilled to have found another fabulous audio book boyfriend 😍😍

Not what I was expecting.
The performance by Callie was exceptional, but the storyline was not up to Mariana Zapata’s standards. The male lead in this book was extremely repetitive, the male narrator was out of place, and would have been slightly better if Callie just did both parts as it may have glossed over the repetitiveness of the male leads boringness and deadpan tone. Just save the credit/money and if you are really in need to listen to this Audiobook, maybe check out your local library on Libby to trial run it properly before committing to adding this book to your collection.
