Another belter of a story.
Robert Hoon is at his ingenious and irascible best in this novel, as is his creator JD Kirk. Fabulous plot with true laugh out loud moments but never a loss of tension. I can’t wait for the next situation Robert is involved with. Brilliant narration by Angus King as characters pop out of the speaker and join you wherever you are!

Love your work, JD Kirk.
I’ve yet to be disappointed with a JD Kirk read. Always entertaining. Hoon’s vocabulary always leaves me in stitches.

Another brilliant explosion of brilliance
Didn’t want to listen to anything other than the Logan series as loved them but thought I would just try one of the Hoon books !!! Well what a great move. Love Hoon and love his sister too 😃 bring on the last one of this series. Hurry up JD Kirk we are running out of novels.

Pure Hoon Gold!
Hoon just keeps getting better... and now Roberta, so good. I have listened to this a few times now and still haven't tired of the wit. excellent narration as usual. Thank you!

OMG! Better and better…
The best emotional roller coaster ever!
A story line that has you anxious and scared for the life of the most foul mouthed, violent and lovable beast of a man ever.
You’ll find yourself laughing through the twists and turns you don’t see coming, and unbelievably even crying…. Oh, and you’ll never look at an Ostrich again without thinking of our Hoon.
JD’s books just keep getting better with each new adventure.
If you know someone who is not reading these series, do them a favour and gift them the first book… their life will be better for it!
