About this listen

When the system arrived everything was turned on its head.

The rich and powerful now had no more of an advantage than the poor and the powerless. They all had to fight to survive.

Owain was a painter, a husband and a father. When the golden letters appeared in front of his eyes, he knew he would have to change. How much of himself was he willing to sacrifice to ensure the safety of his loved ones?

Permanently transformed into a half-man half-tiger, he has to prepare to face the waves of monsters the system will send at his loved ones. First, he needs convince his wife to stop shooting him on sight. Then he needs to decide how much of his humanity he is willing to lose so his family can survive.

This is a side story set in the Carnival universe and provides a full backstory for characters that will feature in Book Three of the main arc, due for release December 2024.

This is a standalone story, you don't need to read or listen to the main books to enjoy this story. Likewise, you won't need to have read or listened to this to understand the characters when they appear in Carnival later on.
