About this listen
The last thing Sid remembered was being enlisted to protect a vulnerable young woman in the coastal town of Sea Haven. Then, as if in some nightmare, he was lost in the swirling currents of the ocean, and sucked deeper into a freezing black eddy. Just as quickly, he was saved - pulled ashore by a beautiful stranger. Her name is Rikki, a sea-urchin diver in Sea Haven. Soon they will be bound by tantalizing secrets, which will engulf them both in a whirlpool of passion and danger.

Water bound
Great start to the sister's of heart series. Angela Brazil is a fantastic narrator, making this book easy to listen to, Enjoy any mention of the Drake sister's, especially looking forward to future stories regarding Ricky's sister's.

The narrator does a good job.
AUDIBLE REVIEW 24
Listened through Audible Plus.
Way too much repetition of information, I get they live on a farm and each have FIVE ACRES, and how special and different Rikki is.
Rikki is autistic, of course she is different in her behaviour and mannerisms.
Apart from this annoyance which is a common factor with Ms Feehan, very enjoyable to listen to. The narrator does a good job.
Lev, I really liked and it was funny with all the male posturing.
He kept telling Rikki how dangerous he was but she never quite gets it at first.
I bought the audible for book six but only books one and six are available through audible plus, pity.
BOOK REVIEW
Totally different heroine in Rikki and very unusual hero in Lev.
Enjoyable story but at times with too much repetition about how different Rikki is and how dark and deadly Lev is.
A spin-off from the Drake Sisters series about a group of friends who have made themselves sisters. They live on a farm and each have elemental powers.
What makes this book so special is the heroine Rikki and what she does for a living, combined with a dark hero you cannot help but like.
Rikki is autistic and the author does well in describing her thinking and behavioural patterns. Rikki is also a Sea Urchin diver which makes sense as her element is water. What a diverse and unusual occupation.
Out working, a rogue wave brings something unusual into her path. Rikki saves this man, thus changing her life in a totally different emotional direction for her.
We met Ilya Prakenskii in Turbulent Sea. We now get another Prakenskii relative in Lev Prakenskii, the male hero.
Lev though, is a much darker character than Ilya. He has no memory of who he is but knows what he is. Luckily he believes he is presumed dead so this may give him time to get his memories back.
He is quite cold and unemotional due to being a special type of assassin. Except when it comes to Rikki. She makes him feel again.
These two form a strong bond right from the start, especially on Lev’s side as he has powers of his own, that make it obvious who and what Rikki is to him.
But we also have some seriously horrible matters in regards to Lev’s non-existent childhood, that will obviously be part of this new series and learning about Lev’s background was truly upsetting.
Having read the whole series, this matter is pushed ad-nauseam throughout, to the point it detracts from the books.
I did love that Lev was gentle with Rikki and never pushed her, letting her set the pace and think things through her way.
Saying that, Rikki is no pushover and knows her own mind and what she expects.
Read and reviewed years ago.
Rereading this as I have picked up the Torpedo Ink book.
