About this listen
The Nelsons have grown tired of waiting for danger to come to them.
Now they are going to take the fight to their enemy.
Whether that be hit and run attacks against a much larger goblin army by Emily, a raid into the sewers under the capital by Jackson, or the final confrontation with Duke Holstein, they are taking their destiny into their own hands.
They will exploit the dungeon's time distortion, develop new crafts, and even learn the secrets of cooking with cilantro.
All this and more as they seek to put to rest any challenge to their place in Eloria.
Continue this epic LitRPG adventure with the second installment in the Life in Exile Series. It's perfect for fans of C. M. Carney, Blaise Corvin, and Charles Dean.

Loved it
This series doesnt bring anything new to the genre but is still an awesome listen :) its a little long in the tooth with describing some of tue powers and stats but other than that, the story was great.

Why!
The Story could have been great. We listen to fantasy to escape reality yet the writer keeps trying to force modern democracy and politics into his story. Not only that it consistently contradicts itself. Dave’s wife (a painfull woman) hates Violence levelling and anything to do with gaming. Then in the next heart beat she has gone from being a peaceful healer to a ninja assassin and has caught up levels by apparently farting!
The hours spent agonisingly talking about an 8 year old girl getting wings and being like a dragon ( wankity wank wank) while taking 49mins to rush through months of a Jackson story and rush that along having him catch up In tiers after a few basic quests.
The family story is painfull, the idea that a teenage girl can be an absolute C&@t and we all have to be ok with it is what’s wrong with the west today. The mother needs a kick up the arse and the 8 year old girl needs a good old fashioned snack. I gave this four books to come good and the writer insists on staging us out of fantasy and back to the modern day bullshit we try to distance ourselves from.
I wish you the best with your future books, I shall not be partaking.
