About this listen
What Zoe knows can get people killed...and she might be at the top of that kill list....
Zoe Kealoha's work as a military scientist was supposed to change the way America hunted terrorists. It should not have made her a target. But it did. Now, if she has any hope of surviving, she needs help. She needs her boyfriend, Gage - the man who, up until now, had no idea what she actually did for a living....
Gage doesn't really care what Zoe's been up to in her lab. All he knows is that he'll stop at nothing to keep her safe. And if he has to take on every rogue operator in the world and use every tool in his Marine Special Forces arsenal to do it, so be it....
If they want to make it to happily ever after, Zoe and Gage will have to weave their way through a high-stakes game where no one can be trusted. It will not be easy. But whoever said international intrigue - or love - would be easy?
Contains mature themes.

A surprise listen
As an avid e book listener I was pleasantly pleased with the plot and the development of the characters. Very enjoyable and congratulations to the narrator also.

fast paced with more intrigue and thought processing than action. really good
Awesome espionage and action. If I didn't know better I'd say Zoe and lynx were sisters. Both h's in their own series are smart and independent. Although Lynx has training and Zoe does not.
A review mentioned that they were suprised Zoe was paired to Gage but I was not. The H being military needed an h that could stand individually and cope but also bend for the romance side.
I enjoyed that iniquus was a key part, along with panther, in this story, and future operatives are introduced.
Fiona Quinn has a superb mind and puts it altogether in an amazing plotline.
In this book, Ms Quinn slips in undertones of parallel morals in the world of today.
The last chapter wrapped everything up pretty quickly which reduced the action in this story. Apart from that
I'm so enjoying this author.
I haven't finished the Lynx series, I'm actually following the world of iniquus in chronological order. I'm finding it a great way to keep my intrigue satisfied and track favourite characters.
The touch of romance with some steam was a nice addition.
Narrator Sean Crisden is brilliant, I've listened to him in other books and he breathed life into all these characters.
The lynx series had Jesse, a female narrator speaking and I was hoping I'd enjoy the switch up. I certainly did.
