About this listen
They came to Earth - Pestilence, War, Famine, Death - four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to Earth, and they came to end us all.
The day Jerusalem falls, Miriam Elmahdy knows her life is over. Houses are burning, the streets run red with blood, and a traitorous army is massacring every last resident. There is no surviving this, especially not once Miriam catches the eye of War himself. But when the massive and terrifying horseman corners Miriam, he calls her his wife, and instead of killing her, he takes her back to his camp.
Now, Miriam faces a terrifying future, one where she watches her world burn town by town, and the one man responsible for it all is her seemingly indestructible “husband”. But there’s another side to him, one that’s gentle and loving and dead set on winning her over, and she might not be strong enough to resist.
However, if there’s one thing Miriam has learned, it’s that love and war cannot coexist. And so, she must make the ultimate choice: surrender to War and watch humankind fall or sacrifice everything and stop him.

Brilliant, Amazingly good
I want sure when I bought this title that it would be my cup of tea as they say, but the story brilliantly narrated drew me in entirely. it's captivating, exciting, frustrating, numerous, and sad all at the same time. I absolutely LOVED it. I've subsequently purchased the other three books in the series and have not been disappointed.

Love versus War
The story progresses, captivating and descriptive. The story to me was not quite as good as the first but well worth listening to, the narrator was excellent, again it was like she was there, not just reading.

Wow
I read binge read/listened to this. I just couldn’t stop. It had me crying at times and laughing at others and the ending was everything. I didn’t know if it would be as good as book one but you it was brilliant and it’s just as good. I am going to download Famine although I am not sure my heart can take it though lol.

Good book
I loved the first book, this one wasn't as good but I still enjoyed it. My main issue was it seemed like the narrator developed a lisp from chapter 6. I think it may have been the audio itself as she didn't have that in the last book and it would come and go in this one.
