Lee has barely established his foothold in the kingdom of Birnefeld, and yet enemy forces are already rushing to attack. Almost all of the other Heralds have been stamped out of existence by the anti-religious zealot King Ramen, and now that the ruthless rule of the empire has turned his sights toward the newly conquered realm, and started marching a massive army easily capable of crushing the entire kingdom beneath their feet straight toward Lee's doorstep. With no other choice, Lee has to turn to the nemesis who plagued his dreams, the Mistress of Shadows, for help. Now, with everything on the line, Lee has to race against the clock to gather the last remaining world stones and finally finish the gods’ cruel game and close out the final chapter of War Aeternus before King Ramen puts an end to the faithful.

Always happens

Whenever a writer is done with a series, they rush the whole thing, tie everything off quickly and undo all the great ground work of what they built,
this is just another one of those series, wish he would have taken more time with it and cherished it a bit more.

A really good ending to a very enjoyable series!!

I had an enjoyable time listening to this whole series and its great take on the very popular level up series of books. The narration also got better and better as the series went on. I also found the that the overall arching story to be paced very well and not get side tracked or dragged out to fill up more books Overall!!

Overall I would recommend this book and series to anyone who is looking for a very solid story involving a level up system that does not bog itself down with mountains of stats or overly complex and complicated plot lines.

Disappointing ending to a fantastic series ☹️

Half way through its like the writer decided he didn't want to write another book and stuffed 2 books in to 6 hours and it just felt fucked. The first half felt just as amazing as the first 4 books.... And then at the end I was left feeling completely apathetic. Just like the ending of lost or game of thrones, shit that's hintted at as being supper important is completely ignored and forgotten. Like the crafting book from the first game that's hintted at over and over again as important in the end isn't used or menchend once in the last book. Supper fucking frustrating.
