Stick with it

Wonderfully read by the author, not so much deadpan as moribund pan. More slow moving and reflective than the Wodehouse books but still enjoyable with plenty of bons mots. Starts well, but the central section gets repetitive and tedious as Jeeves runs out of different ways of agreeing with his master. Then Jeeves disappears altogether until the last act. Picks up towards the end.
