About this listen
I’m Ogun “Voodoo” Dupré - SAA for the Ankeny RBMC. There’s no pretty way to put it: I do the dirty work for my club. Without question, I follow the direct orders of my president.
Except, when my services were required for a particularly delicate situation, I found myself hesitating for the first time in my adult life. That hesitation was my downfall. With the Bratva gunning for me and my own father out for my blood, I didn’t think I’d survive. Yet, come hell or high water, I’d keep her safe - because, she was meant to be mine.
The rumors about my chapter are true, yet things aren’t always what they seem. We don’t play fair, and we don’t leave witnesses.
Sometimes, you gotta work a little black magic to come out alive.

hmmm
it was a bit doughy in places abs pretty mild for an MC.
there was some gruesome parts and i cringed a little.
the heroine did a bit of an insta lust flip and her dialogue was pretty diminished as the story went on.
the paranormal was pretty cool.
only I didn't really hear voodoo explain his gifts . she seemed pretty accepting of everything.
the plotline was well written and it pulled me in. the narrators were so so. I've listened to them before although some tones and inflections could have been better.
don't know about book 2

So enjoyable
This was a really good story, and along with the narrators it hit all the good points
I just loved Voodoo and his fellow Mc men. I have read a few MC books but this one has topped the lot with their special abilities
