About this listen

Welcome to Black Diamond Resort and Spa… and my exile…

A guy in a skirt wouldn't turn a straight guy on, right?

I spent the last decade performing next to him. I've never looked at him as more—until I walked in on him in a skirt.

He's as broken as I am. We survived our childhood together. And when he's finally trying to embrace the parts his father tried to beat out of him, I can't handle it.

He's taunting me with smeared eyeliner and a filthy smile, singing to a sold-out crowd, and it's getting too hot under these stage lights.

I can't look him in the eyes.

I can't be with him—not like that—but I can't stop thinking about him.

He's pushing me over the edge.

Now, we're banished to this forsaken celebrity timeout—to play emotional chicken—and he's determined to make sure I lose.

He'll push every button I possess until I give in.

Story of Royal and Aspen

This is a best friends to more rockstar romance, featuring Royal and Aspen, and is a standalone book in the multi author series named Unlucky 13.

Royal and Aspen have been friends for years, Royal took Aspen in when they reconnected one night and Royal found out Aspen was living on the streets. Over their twenty year friendship they have lived in each others pockets and are now part of a popular punk rock band.

This was quite an entertaining book. It definitely lived up to the title. It was pretty low angst for how volatile they were to each other, all because Royal was repressed and denying his feelings towards Aspen. I loved that their management sent them off to Black Diamond Resort to sort through their issues with each other. Throw in a one-bed situation at the resort and things exploded, lots of swearing, feelings came out, hands and mouths were everywhere, it was chaotic, witty and downright amusing.

This series is great. I’ve read a few books now and even though each book is a different style, I’ve enjoyed them. And as a plus I’ve discovered new authors to me. Now I need to read the series that covers Aspen’s brothers love life, what’s another series added to my TBR.

Things to expect in this MM romance are:
Best friends to more
Rockstar Bandmates
Forced proximity
One bed
Repressed MC
Bi-awakening
Mental health rep
Some spicy times
Some dirty talk
Hate s*x
All-in
HEA
