Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Do you think in pictures, patterns or words?

In a world engineered for the verbal thinker, those of us with a visual brain can often be overlooked and underestimated. In this landmark book, international bestselling author and activist Temple Grandin transforms our understanding of how our brains are wired differently.

Bringing together cutting-edge research and her own experience as a visual thinker, Grandin reveals a ground-breaking new approach to revolutionizing modern structures such as education, health and media so that they equally serve people with all kinds of minds. Visual Thinking is a perspective shifting book that will open our eyes to the value of a life in picture.

Very interesting

Very engaging stories. Some over generalisations, and lost some credibility when she referred to poisonous snakes (biology minded people will understand what I mean here), but otherwise raised some good points and offered an insightful perspective that resonated well with me.

Perspectives

A great read. Was fascinating to hear the different perspectives of visual thinkers.

Lost a star due the overuse of post-hoc "I/a visual thinker would have done it this way". If people already knew the outcome of a situation, they (including verbal thinkers) would have thought of a different solution to said issue

Life changing - at 54, I feel heard (and part of a herd).

An amazing human. I was completely engaged with every fascinating story.
The reader had some irritating habits but the content was well and truly worth every French name pronounced as though we are actually French.
