Great read
It was unexpected novel that had laughter, joy, family, forgiveness and reconciliation all rolled into one and how one woman was able to bring all those people together was great. I mean Vera reminded me of someone else in my life. In saying that this novel was quite exciting I couldn’t stop listening to to it. I finished it in two days.

Excellent mystery novel
I really enjoyed the setting of this book, it was refreshing. a word of warning however that this book does discuss emotional abuse and manipulation.

Like a warm hug from your grandma
This book was so comforting to me with so many parallels to my own grandmother. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and all the characters were so wonderfully developed.

loved it Vera was such a whirlwind and finding her family was so nice to read found families are underrated but for many so much better than blood

So loved this book
This book was a cracker. I must admit, I started listening and hit a wall. I gave it a couple of weeks and tried again and I am so glad I did. So engaging - great story and narration. I am looking forward to more from this author. Everyone needs a Vera Wong /Wang in their lives. Thank you!

So entertaining
This book was incredibly entertaining. It was funnier than I anticipated and the story was captivating, she kept me guessing who the murdered was til the very end. What a great, heartwarming book that the narrator told in a great way.

Excellent narration!!!!
I really enjoyed the characters, the story and the mystery of this book. There was nothing gory or frightening but it hooked me enough that I wanted to know who was the killer and how are they all connected? You will be very hungry after reading this book. All the talk of food had me salivating many times and I’m now off to go and have some Chinese. A great read you won’t be disappointed.
