About this listen

Gotrek & Felix, Book 6.

Fresh from the war in Praag, Gotrek and Felix are thrown into a new adventure when their old friend Ulrika Magdova is abducted. Travelling to the accursed land of Sylvania, the pair face a monstrous vampire intent on claiming Ulrika as his bride.

Listen to it because

It's a classic vampire story, complete with haunted castles, abducted maidens (well, Ulrika) and a powerful creature of the night - but with a typically Warhammer twist, of course!

The story

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask....

Fresh from the siege of Praag, dwarf slayer Gotrek Gurnisson and his sworn human companion Felix Jaeger are beset by a new and terrible foe in their unceasing war against Chaos. A powerful evil is rising in darkest Sylvania, and it threatens to reach forth and tear the very heart out of the Empire - and out of Felix's relationship with Ulrika Magdova. Faced with the machinations of a powerful centuries-old vampire, can the duo's deadly battle result in anything but death and tragedy?

Written by William King. Running time 11 hours 14 minutes. Narrated by Jonathon Keeble.

Vampire slayer, kind of a big deal

Lots I didn’t expect, parts I most definitely did expect. Great fight scenes however a little smaller but definitely just as fun as the rest! A must read

Great build up of suspense

Really enjoyed this one with a semi horror tale. Book felt a little rushed in the end. Best G & F book I've read so far.

an Awesome tale

an epic continuation of the awesome tale!

I love Johnathan Keeble as narrator for this series, I desperately hope he continues to do so.

I much prefer this story to Beastslayer, and Dragonslayer.
neither books were bad, but this is far better.

Another fantastic take with great narration

This may be one of the greatest tales of Gortek and Felix to date. Almost a murder mystery at the start and building to an incredible climax. It certainly has its fair share of sorrow though. Another impressive narration too.

give us the next book.

big fan of the Gotrek and Felix books, I have every iteration of their miniatures. the story for this book felt uninspired and rushed, I'm certain this was King's 2nd last to last book before Nathan Long took over. Now hurry up and give us the next installment please.

Brilliant

Expertly narrated. Toby is a master storyteller, and this story is super compelling! Plenty of twists, some laughs and the familiar characters return in style. Some fun character arc exploration too. Could be the best one of the series yet.
