Publisher's Summary
There's no going back to Earth. The only way forward is through hell.
After the explosive events surrounding MPF6's destruction on Karkin Four, Wic and his team of daredevil operators join forces with the rebel force known as the Blood Guard. While the Phantoms desire to help relocate human refugees to safer worlds, they're forced to confront a more pressing objective: cut off the head of the beast and keep the Androchidan Empire from enslaving another world.
Wic is immediately flung into the heat of battle, driven by retaliation, a need for justice, and the need to send a message to all other deviant species who'd wish to take advantage of the innocent: don't even think about it.
However, when a convert mission goes sideways, and key Blood Guard operatives turn up missing, Phantom Team must decide just how far they're willing to go to stop an alien species from wreaking havoc in the galaxy.
Tensions mount as the empire's high command closes in for the kill. Lies spread, secrets abound, and betrayal runs like blood in the streets. Will Sir Chuck provide critical intel in time to save the team? Can Wic pull one more hat trick against a world-conquering foe?
Find out in Valley of the Dead, the fifth nail-biting, white-knuckle episode of the acclaimed Ruins of the Earth series by Christopher Hopper and J.N. Chaney.

soild series buy please bring back R.C
loved this series. Great story but the narration is really hard to listen to, they need to stop trying to enunciated everything and just let the story flow.

Changing narrator, not good
The story is good as always with these books, but I don’t understand why they change narrators halfway through a series when you’ve got voices that work and you know and understand and then suddenly it’s a completely different voice, it’s like changing an actor in the middle of a movie it’s just not a good thing to do. I know it’s not audible’s fault, but it kind of ruins the book. Still not used to the different voices and still can’t work out who half the characters are sometimes just by the voice like I was able to with the previous narrator because you were so used to the voices.

Glad I listened
Ok so when I saw that RC Bray was not reading, and sampled the new narrator I almost decided that it was too hard. I really like RC Bray, he’s just so good, and I kinda got used to his character voices. But, I have been enjoying the story so much that I thought “splik” just give the guy a chance. It took a few chapters to get into the new groove, but before not too long it felt like nothing had changed. So hats off to new narrator, I loved listening and didn’t lose a beat. A great story

Valley of the Dead
I originally only bought this book because of RC Bray. But I got used this narrator and enjoyed listening to him. I am enjoying this series and now I’m onto the final book.

Fast, Interesting concept
Likeable characters, good narrator and no time wasting. Much good with large explosions. I dont use 15 words to describe anything.

New narrator
Despite a change in narrator it doesn't take away from the story. Only Chuck is a bit odd initially but after a couple of chapters it isn't noticeable. Another great story relieved as sometimes an author loses there mojo when they get to a few books in. So far so good on to the

Where's R.C.?
To change the narrator halfway through the series is a shame... The story is good but the performance is just not up to it
