About this listen
Sanden
When it’s your job as groomsman to tell the groom his wedding isn’t happening, the smartest thing to do is get it over and done with and then tell the guests to leave.
Yeah, well, I never said I was smart.
I might...accidentally, maybe on purpose, suggest to Remy that the best form of revenge is to have a party anyway. I mean, he’s already got catering, a DJ, and guests, so what better time to throw a petty party?
My loser high school friend never deserved him anyway. If I’d had the chance, I would have locked Remy down years ago.
Only, when the party leads to a drunken kiss, going on their honeymoon, and sharing their marital bed, I have to say, I’m not entirely sad that their wedding went up in flames.

Romance, Drama, Mental Health and Uniforms.
Everything that you have come to expect from the partnership of Eden Finley and Saxon James.
The humour, snark and emotionally charged scenes that are signature for both authors.
The start of a new interwoven series from the pair from all appearances.
Add in the performances by Tim Paige and Tim Dicossimo and you'll understand why this was my 5th listen for 2024. Tim Paige reading Eden Finley is my not-so-guilty listening pleasure.

Emphasis on gaslighting and recovering from past trauma. Good narration
The connection between the main couple is well developed and the story moves well.
There is an emphasis on an emotionally abusive and manipulative partner and how to recover from such relationships. Also recovery from old guilt and getting new relationships freed up,from the past to enable a healthy one.
All that was very well done and informative ( and I say that as a former therapist).
I mention that in case you are after sweet romance and nothing more. This is more solid and rather didactic. Nothing wrong with that: just depends on your taste.
Great narration by both narrators.
