Publisher's Summary
She’s the sunshine to his storm cloud
Stoic, growly Evan Bailey has enough on his plate. A growing business, a pack of brothers who drive him crazy, a gossip-loving small town, and a rivalry that runs deeper than any family feud. Love? That’s a hard pass. He already learned the hard way that he’s better off alone.
Fiona Gallagher has a problem. Or more like 10, but who’s counting? The trouble with her car is just the cherry on top of the crap sundae, but she won’t let that get her down.
Besides, she has a plan. Evan Bailey - that brooding custom car builder who happens to hate her father - is going to help her. He just doesn’t know it yet.
The last thing Evan needs is the overly cheery Fiona crashing into his solitary life. But her offer is too compelling to ignore.
Fiona isn’t there to pick through the wreckage of Evan’s heart. If he has one, he won’t let her anywhere near it. But the tension between them is hot enough to combust. And when she starts to see the cracks in his stony façade, she realizes she’s getting more than she bargained for - a lot more - in that big surly man.
Author’s note: A grouchy, broody loner meets an adorable badass (who talks to her houseplants). It’s the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine one with some engine-revving twists.
The Bailey Brothers series is meant to be read in order. Start with book one, Protecting You!

Wow
This was an awesome story of knowing that the right girl can draw a man back into the land of living instead of existing. This lady was so hilarious to me that I just wanted to be her. So in touch with herself. She drew him out and they fell in love. Just a great story. Loved the little snippet of the mystery behind the feud.
Narration was awesome too.

loving this series of books each one is so perfectly intertwined with last. the characters are real, so lifelike. Each story tells about the Bailey bros and a hint of a past mystery is in each book. I am so hooked !!
ps the narrator's are perfect for each character 💜

Fiona is a dream
I read this book on Kindle Unlimited and decided to purchase the audiobook because I liked Fiona's character so much.
Evan is a good match for her, but we don't really get a lot about him beyond grumpy broody recluse who was betrayed in college. He is somewhat overshadowed by his brothers (except Levi who is also a bit under developed).
Fiona however, is this car loving, tattooed, pierced ball of sunshine despite a horrible childhood due to awful parents. She talks to plants and animals plus has great charm with people she meets through work.
Some plot issues and the prologue and epilogue can be skipped (and should they are boring and don't affect the story of these 2).
Voice actors are great though.

couldn't finish, boring
narrators did okay job, but even Jason C could save this for me. got about half way through. pace dragged, plot didn't have much too it that made me want to keep listening. evan came across as juvenile with emotions and behaviour, and didn't think Fiona was much of a badass.
