Suspend Your Disbelief and You'll Have Fun
I dislike the expression "it is what it is" but it somehow feels appropriate here. If you enjoy this genre, the over-the-top thriller that aims to give you twists and turns, without necessarily making a lick of sense...well, you'll enjoy this one too.
I thought it was clever and original enough and I certainly found I wanted to keep listening. I'm happy to suspend disbelief and go along for the ride, so jump aboard if this is your type of story.

Suspenseful with a twist!
I was hooked from the very beginning right through until the very end. I couldn't stop! The twist the story took was unexpected and I loved how each chapter went back and forth between two characters.

A film version could be unmissable
I struggled with these particular American accents. Just too sugary sweet that turned me off all of them. I struggled liking anyone. A reasonable storyline with one twist I wasn't expecting. I reckon it could make a good film, treated right and building the intrigue and suspense. An interesting concept of someone coming back from being missing presumed dead. Made me wonder what dues happen in real life; how people cope and adjust once the news headlines subside and they are left to get on with restarting their lives.

Pleasant surprise - happy to have found this one!
Really good writing. Felt that you can really get to know the characters. Enjoyable to listen to and many twists that I didn’t see coming! Hope this writer has other books I can listen to - I will go and have a look asap! Narration was also good. Highly recommend!
