About this listen

In this number one national best seller, a journalist who's been attacked by antifa writes a deeply researched and reported account of the group's history and tactics.

When Andy Ngo was attacked in the streets by antifa in the summer of 2019, most people assumed it was an isolated incident. But those who'd been following Ngo's reporting in outlets like the New York Post and Quillette knew that the attack was only the latest in a long line of crimes perpetrated by antifa.

In Unmasked, Andy Ngo tells the story of this violent extremist movement from the very beginning. He includes interviews with former followers of the group and people who've been attacked by them and incorporates stories from his own life. This book contains a trove of documents obtained by the author, published for the first time ever.

Sterling journalism.

This book is a sterling piece of journalism from a writer who suffered a beating at the hands of Antifa and then bravely went into the Seattle Chaz zone incognito, on his own, without any backup, when the Seattle officials were preventing the police from going into Chaz to police it.
Andy Ngo’s journalistic integrity is unquestionable: he backs every fact up with sources and dates and detailed information, unlike so many journalists these days who simply parrot party lines.
And Ngo is surprisingly compassionate towards this group of zealots who beat him nearly to death.
Antifa would tell us they’re not an organisation, that they have no leaders, and they are merely against fascists. Ngo proves that all these statements are untrue.
I myself encountered the evasive tactics Ngo talks about when I had the misfortune of having a conversation with an antifa member online on a popular social media platform; this person is is a relative of a friend of mine. Having read Ngo’s book I now know the ideological training that is behind that conversation, which left me deeply disturbed for days: training that specifically teaches antifa members how to avoid questions such as do you support violence? And, what do your leaders say about violence?
I believe Andy Ngo has shone the light of truth into a dark corner of America. I urge you to listen to this book and judge the facts for yourself.
I think this book is worthy of a Pulitzer Prize actually- how many other journalists are willing to risk life and limb these days for the sake of bringing the truth to light?

Honest

A raw and honest description of the second rise of Marxism and it's many mutated children led by a group of awful activists and the snoozing sheep who follow them.

Great Read

Andy Ngo is one that I always look at his videos as he is providing an insight into a world that is not shown to us via MSM.

This book takes a closer look at "the idea" of Antifa and is quite revelling but yet alarming.

History Repeats

Andy Ngo bravely uncovers a group that would happily foist upon the majority a regime that historians have seen before devastate countries over and over.
Probably one the last real journalists that don't have overused boring narcissistic label of "activist" in their bio, just the old fashioned notion of following the facts to see where they lead.

Uncomfortable Reality

Andy is a brave man which can learn what real media should be. Thanks for your efforts to open the eye of the world to these dangers of communist takeover strategies.

The Mumford and Sons guy was right....

Like the Mumford and Sons guy said....." This is an important book." At last a truthful and indepth look at the destruction reeked by Antifa in the last several years. The scariest thing is the compliance of media and government in this ongoing insurgency......Civil War coming.

Eye-opening research and storytelling

The author’s narrative goes against the grain of what is typically told in the media. He warns against the pitfalls of a utopian society, and expresses empathy and pity towards the extremists who believe this worldview, and act violently to advance it.
He says that he has been harassed and assaulted as a result of his reporting. Therefore, this work comes at a large personal cost to his safety, so even if you do not agree 100% with his view, it is at least worth listening to his views to broaden your own perspective.

Excellent work

The content of this work is very impressive and gives an excellent overview of a recent social movement with deep roots. The only negative for me was the narrator, who does an excellent job, but it is a little off-putting to hear a personal account by a young American given in the voice of what sounds like an older British man.
