Ok for starters

This book is not for people who have been reading and learning about finances for a while, the author takes too long to get to the point and tells so many off point stories. Unf*ck your mindset is a better title for it. The performance also sounds like brunch with the girls and can become overbearing.

A great guidebook for your finances!

I enjoyed listening to Melissa‘s,m take on Unfucking your finances. I found the book very practical and useful, and I also learnt quite a bit as well. It’s so nice to hear a story about a woman who has really climbed her way back to the top after losing it all, and I love the messaging around becoming financially independent as a woman.

Great book for women who spend too much!

Well written, well read, light, easy to listen to. A basic book for women who don’t have much of an idea about how to be financially savvy. Too light for more sophisticated, already financially savvy women. A great, fun read though!

Great Book, Easy Listen and for the everyday person

This book was a great book that was easy (listen) read. It was in everyday terms and easy to follow.

It is a must read for everyone who either loves finances/money or anyone who just needs help.

It’s also Australian which means it relates to our country but still applies to anyone.

Long winded, indirect advice with too much reliance on female stereotypes of weight obsessed, cocktail drinking bimbos.

I'm really disappointed that Mel Browne constantly compares financial literacy to weight loss & dieting. A lot of commentary that refers to women as shoe/wardrobe/brunch/cocktail fascinated idiots. While there is some very basic, relevant information and advice it is lost amongst the idiotic stereotypes of women and what is financial literacy for them. I don't give a hoot about your chocolate addiction or that you try on an outfit from your mid-twenties to keep your weight in check. it's vapid, condescending and disingenuous. I had been considering doing one of Mel & Lawsie's courses but this book as assured me that their brand of financial literacy is not for me. I don't want more money for shoes. I want practical steps for women to achieve financial freedom. This book doesn't offer that. Back to the Barefoot Investor.

Long winded and dull

The book takes far too long to get to the point. Lots of exercises in changing your mindset with no real practical steps to follow.
The barefoot investor is a far better read with some real actionable steps.
The writer / narrator is wonderful to listen to with a real 'smile' in her voice.
