About this listen

Unapologetic is a brief, personal, sharp-tongued defence of Christian belief. It isn't an argument that Christianity is true, because how could anyone know that (or indeed its opposite)? It's a book for believers who are fed up with being patronised, for nonbelievers curious about faith in the 21st century, and for anyone who feels there is something indefinably anti-imaginative and intolerant about the way the atheist case is currently being made.

Absolutely Bloody Lovely

A heart wrenching cri de cœur of what the Christian faith means to the author. Superbly written with a wonderful delivery to boot, I found it almost impossible to stop listening. At times moving but also quite funny, even for (or maybe especially for) an non believer like myself. By the end I had decided to give deeper thought to ideas i had previously concluded were bankrupt, and felt somewhat ashamed of how shallowly I had considered them before.

Annoying / I want my time back

While clearly gifted at English literature - this was a pretty bad book. I thought it might have a deeper meaning, but it just went on and on without offering any new or interesting insights.
Towards the end I realised it was just liberal Christianity - slagging off Christians for being misogynist and homophobic - while trying to be shocking using the F word and using graphic detail about child prostitution etc.
thanks God for the 2x speed option - as I like to complete any book I start.
