About this listen

Two Dragons. Dragons are said to guard treasure with their lives...

Ceric, beset with madness from the trauma of the losses he has suffered, wanders the forests of Kilton. An urgent need to stave off the hunger of his folk calls his younger brother Edwin, Lord of Kilton, to the kingdom of Mercia, and though he fulfils his mission, finds the greater prize he sought out of reach.

Four Stones now has the second son of Sidroc under its lofty roof—Yrling, come from Gotland to train under the hand of his half-brother Hrald. An unexpected visit from Raedwulf, Bailiff of Defenas, sends Hrald on a journey of vital importance to both Four Stones and to King Ælfred himself.

On Gotland, a dragon ship oars steadily for shore, its warriors ready to leap out as soon as the keel strikes the pebbled beach. Sidroc is there to meet them—the man they came looking for.

The kingdoms of Cymru, Wales, have long bedeviled that of Wessex and Mercia. Much of Welsh strength is found in their women. Passion and artfulness is manifest in two, who, driven by their own ends, impact Kilton in ways unimaginable.

Take fiery flight in Two Dragons, book nine of The Circle of Ceridwen Saga.

Enjoyable ride

I have just finished Two dragons, the latest in the Circle of Ceridwen Saga. On the one hand I was disappointed at the brevity of Ceridwen and Sidroc's appearances in this book. On the other hand It was satisfying to follow the journeys of Elfwyn, Cerich, Edwin and Hrald - the book had the feel of a bridging novel as Elfwyn moved from a life of sacrifice for others to one of personal fulfilment, Cerich & Hrald processed their grief in very different ways and Edwin began to realise that enormous wealth does not guarantee everything you want. Therefore there is the promise of more to come. Nano Nagle has matured as a narrator and has managed in this book to bring the story to the reader in such a way that the story is foremost. Highly recommended and I very much look forward to the next book which is clearly on the way!

The Saga continues

A wonderful continuation of this multigenerational story. So much healing and hope but also hints of more drama to come.
Wonderfully narrated again by Nano Nagle, the voice of the Saga.
Octavia Randolph draws us on, cleverly leaving us fulfilled but longing for more.

Another wonderful instalment to The Saga

Beautifully written as always. Octavia excels herself again with evocative and captivating storytelling. Nano Angle’s performance never disappoints.
