About this listen

Two-D World is book number one of the Comic Book World series...

Six orphans are suddenly drawn into a comic book of fairy tales. In this comic book world, they have magical powers that they use to try to restore the original artwork that the evil Paint Thinner and Eraser have distorted.

Our heroes meet up with Hansel and Gretel, Jack (of the beanstalk), and Cinderella. Since they themselves have become two-dimensional, the comic book world looks natural to them. But they soon discover that there are different physical laws in this land of two dimensions. By turning anything - or anyone - on its side, it disappears from sight, but is still there. Learning these new laws is challenging but necessary to survive.

Everyone aims at a "happily ever after", but not everyone achieves it. These kids' mission is to help everyone attain it. Since no one back home wants them, or even misses them, they are in no hurry to return to the land of three dimensions. Besides, they love being guided by The Great Artist who helps them along the way.
