About this listen
Erevis Cale - simple butler or much, much more?
The shadows grow long on the mean streets of Selgaunt...and the sun sets on one man's service to Sembia's merchant lords.
The day's end finds Erevis Cale serving a new master, one who is beyond the petty accumulation of wealth.
After all, what is gold to one who trades in souls?

Excellent
Excellent series great narration Paul S Kemp has out done himself with this series. It’s dark gritty and real even though it’s d and d it’s a great read.

Not awful or particularly good just average
I got this title based on that it was one of the better forgotten realms books and this is true. Having said that it's not a very high standard to exceed. This was ok but I quickly found myself bored as the storyline or the characters aren't that compelling or interesting. When there's plenty better fantasy fiction out there it just wasn't worth my time completing so I gave up about 2/3 through the book knowing the villains will get their comeuppance and not really caring enough to see it through. Even the fight scenes weren't that interesting, and the dialog was at times cringeworthy. I won't be reading the rest of this series.
