About this listen
Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake....
Even more than usual.
She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob) is in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.
When Cass awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-developing skills as a ghost hunter - and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger.
And if Cass fails, the force she’s unleashed could haunt the city forever.
Number-one New York Times best-selling author Victoria Schwab returns to the spooky and heart-pounding world of City of Ghosts, delivering thrilling new adventures and an unforgettable spin on friendship. (Because sometimes, even psychic ghost best friends have secrets....)

A great installment to a great YA series
A lovely addition to the series, cementing it's place as a great little YA adventure series for all things ghoulish and paranormal.
I'm not sure if I just didn't clue in the first book, but hearing that Cassidy was 12 years old really changed my perspective on this series, and the narrative voice. I knew it was written for teens, but I didn't realise quite how young the protagonist was, and how brave she is considering.
*Audiobook review*
Reba Buhr has done a great job once again of creating interesting character voices, as well as portraying realistic accents that still vary in tone and personality for the French region this series is set in. A narrator to keep an eye on, as I enjoyed her timbre and narrative pacing.

An easy read
A good story, I'm not crazy about the constant (over 5 ) Harry potter references I found it irritating. other than that not bad
