Badly written

My first Beauregard book was The Slob, and that was just okay, but this anthology seems like it was written by a teenager. It’s as if the author had a thesaurus nearby and never learned how to craft sentences well, then jammed all that together and out spewed this book. And never gave it to an editor. I’ll give him another book or two to see if the writing improves, but if this one is any indication, it doesn’t look promising.
