Publisher's Summary
In this final installment of New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker’s Silverstone series, a battle-scarred assassin must rescue an old flame from ruthless drug lords.
What was supposed to be a short trip to Jamaica becomes a years-long nightmare as Cassidy Hewitt and her son fall into the grip of an infamous drug kingpin. Desperate for rescue, Cassidy risks everything to send secret letters to the FBI, hoping someone, anyone, will answer her call.
When secret operative Leo “Gramps” Zanardi sees Cassidy’s letters, he knows this isn’t just another covert mission. The two had electric chemistry back in high school, and Leo finds himself eager for a reunion - even if the circumstances aren’t exactly ideal.
After arriving back in Indiana, Leo and Cassidy think they’re free to start a new life together. But the kingpin’s goons won’t let go of Cassidy so easily: they follow her from Jamaica, leaving carnage in their wake. Before the pair can fully embrace the love they’ve been missing all these years, they’ll need the entire Silverstone team’s help to be victorious in the showdown of their lives.

Silverstone Cassidy
Story teller very mundane and boring, overall story ok. Epilogue always good to hear years after. A bit disappointing I have all Susan stoker books but this audiobook not recommended. Sorry

Continues after the initial rescue
The first half of the book is action as the team try to rescue Cassidy and her son, plus further drama after they return home. The c rest of v the storyline follows the team members and their kids for 20 years. certainly a different style but nonetheless interesting.

Do yourself a favour, read this series!
Bloody brilliant book, and a perfect ending to the Silverstone Towing series. Susan Stoker has again delivered again! But in my opinion she never disappoints. Always recommend her books.

Another idiot heroine with a great hero.
I was switching between reading and audible which I LOVE being able to do. Another idiot heroine who makes stupid decisions all the time. I have not read/listened to the first two books in this series. I loved that our elder Gramps/Leo gets his HEA with a girl/woman from his high school days. Sad with what happens but this series is not for the faint of heart with the actions that happen. I think I felt the sorriest for the child Mario. Though the speculation about his sexual orientation, he is the PC factor in this book, was overdone. The child is 11 years old, let him grow up first. And for goodness sake, get him some therapy for his trauma. Typical strong hero and a silly heroine who cannot listen and let people protect her. Good story with lots of action though Cassidy annoyed me at times. She seems to have not made one right decision in her life. Boo Hoo, the boy/man she was crushing on walked away as she was too young. And dragging her young son to Jamaica, not the best or worst place to move to for a job but why make the choices she does. Why not somewhere in the US? She was the one making the many bad decisions in their lives and is constantly doing or saying stupid things and was never pulled up about it. In fact, I felt they enabled her. Really, did she think Lloyd was going to treat her like a princess and put her up in style. We are dealing with drug lords, not known for being NICE people. Especially at the end when she does the TSTL act of giving herself up causing others to be hurt when protecting/saving her. But we keep getting told how strong she is, spine of steel. She should feel guilty for her stupid actions and bad decisions she has perpetrated over the years. Poor Smoke gets badly hurt and I hated that part. Made me cry. When Gramps tells her it isn’t her fault, he is wrong. Yes, it is all her fault. Though Leo was a wuss 25 years previously, his thinking that Cassidy was young at the time was correct. Loved the scene in the hospital with Molly and Kevin and Molly chastising Mark/Smoke. The epilogue was nice with everyone all together and the change in life direction.
