Publisher's Summary
Once again Liane Moriarty uses her unique, razor-sharp observational skills to sift through the emerging fault lines of seemingly happy families.
If only they'd said no....
What if they hadn't gone? That's the question Clementine can't stop asking herself.
It was just a backyard barbeque. They didn't know their hosts that well. They were friends of friends. They could so easily have said no. But she and her husband, Sam, said yes, and now they can never change what they did and didn't do that beautiful winter's day. Six responsible adults. Three cute kids. One yapping dog. It's a normal weekend in the suburbs. What could possibly go wrong?

Frustrating narration
Long winded and extremely frustrating narration voice. The book itself was enjoyable however extremely hard to get through

Long winded
Really struggled with this book. Long winded with a bit of a threadbare plot. A disappointment.

Rich character development
A beautiful, rich narrative with excellent character development. I enjoy the background research Liane puts into all of her books.

the narration was like fingernails clawing down a blackboard
I honestly tried and tried to get into this book, but sure if it was the narration or the storyline but I simply could not finish this book!

It was inane and annoying
The story was uninteresting and went around in circles. I could not bring myself to finish it. Yet I have enjoyed books by Moriarty before !!

Always a good heartfelt romp
Love the relatable characters living relatable lives. I learn something about life or relationship with each of Liane’s books. Like old friends that I miss when it ends.
