About this listen

**NOW AN AMAZON PRIME TV SERIES STARRING CHRIS PRATT**

A high-intensity roller-coaster ride, True Believer explodes with action and authenticity that cements Jack Carr as the new leader in political thrillers.

Following his brutal quest for revenge, former Navy SEAL James Reece has fled the United States, emerging deep in the wilds of Mozambique. But he can’t stay hidden for long – when a string of horrific terrorist attacks plagues the Western world, the CIA tracks him down and recruits him.

Now a reluctant tool of the United States government, Reece must travel the globe, targeting terrorist leaders and unravelling a geopolitical conspiracy that will have worldwide repercussions . . .

Critic Reviews

'This is seriously good… the suspense is unrelenting, and the tradecraft is so authentic the government will probably ban it – so read it while you can!' (Lee Child)
'A powerful, thoughtful, realistic, at times terrifying thriller that I could not put down. A terrific addition to the genre, Jack Carr and his alter-ego protagonist, James Reece, continue to blow me away' (Mark Greaney)
'With technical ferocity and devastating action sequences, Carr writes both from the gut and a seemingly infinite reservoir of knowledge in the methods of human combat. Loved it!' (Chris Hauty on Savage Son)
'With a particular line in authentic tradecraft, this fabulously unrelenting thrill-ride was a struggle to put down' (Mark Dawson on The Terminal List)
'Gritty, raw and brilliant!' (Tom Marcus on The Terminal List)
‘So powerful, so pulse-pounding, so well-written—rarely do you read a debut novel this damn good’ (Brad Thor on The Terminal List)

A seamless continuation of the story.

The attention to the story and the small details allows for a great story line. It is a very enjoyable experience.

Great sequel to book one.

Great reading performance. Story may have got a little long towards the end but looking forward to what the future novels tell.

Redacted

I thought the book was very “redacted”. I really liked the “redacted” the most. I found it to be a good representation of “redacted”. I understand why parts of the book needed to be left out but at times I did find it hard to build a mental picture of people and places because of this.
In all seriousness I liked True Believer more than Terminal list as I think the author has found his writing style and built characters and emotions more. I cannot wait for the next book

Simply cant stop listening !

Ray Porter as a narrator simply keeps the tempo as edge of your seat stuff, quickly establishing characters with identities and personalities, Occasionally the authors "personal" views on the authorities is not really required as it comes across as venting but the overall story and depth of detail is incredibly good - up there with the grey man and Jack Reacher for sure

An amazing comeback for JR

James Reece was too good a character to simply sail off into the wild blue yonder. He had work to do and Jack Carr has crafted the perfect sequel. This is an authentic, action packed thriller written by someone who knows some things. If you liked Terminal List you are going to enjoy this book. Keep em coming Jack, you have it dialled in.

Suspenseful and fast paced

Action packed, fast paced, and beautifully written. I would highly recommend to those who enjoyed the prequel.
