Terrific narration

A true adventure story
There is a very good reason that this story has lasted through the generations as a classic tale of piracy and adventure. Suited to children and adults alike. Fantastic performance too.

Easy to Listen Classic
I can see why this is the staple pirate adventure and coming of age story. It certainly feels that way with all the iconic ingredients of the recipe. It's easy to listen with no unnecessary over-worded paragraphs like most classics from this time era and I appreciated the episodic style and action-driven plot. I think it would be unfair for me to say it was a bit simple considering this is the famous adventure that started them all and even after all this time, this book still leaves an impression and teaches any age how to face the world full of fears, dreams and challenge.

Well… thats that
I wanted to read this so I could state unequivocally I had read this classic. A classic adventure story that was the springboard for so many more. To say I was disappointed is probably unfair, maybe it was the performance, maybe my general lack of interest or maybe even just the language used. Overall my life was not enriched for having read it.

Not as good as hyped up to be.
I was slightly dissopointed. Well written and narrated, but probaly hasn't aged too well. Quite a basic story line.
