About this listen
They say only fools enter the tower....
All Max wants is to become a climber and search for his long-lost sister.
But citizens aren’t allowed to climb - they aren’t even allowed remotely in the vicinity of the mysterious and magical tower. Plus, even if citizens could enter, it didn’t change the fact that Max’s body is paralyzed from the waist down, confined to a wheelchair. No way would anyone let him enter the tower. Ever.
Yet one night, everything changes, and Max’s world is thrown upside down. He suddenly gains an ultra-rare ability and the chance to train and climb the tower.
But being a climber isn’t as easy as it sounds. Each floor of the tower contains vast worlds and deadly, magical monsters.
While Max may want to ascend to the top of the tower, there are plenty of others who want to as well, many who won’t blink an eye at removing anyone who stands in their way....

commit to at least the first 2 books.
The 1st book in a series is usually a good indication of what your in for. This however is isn't the case with these books, I am more impressed with the story and MC development with each book I've finished.

Climbing the Tower
A great start to a new series that captures some of the best parts of the genre and moves along at a decent clip - a great listen and can’t wait to see where our mc goes next.

Great in some ways lacking in others
Lacking in many ways, cringy character stereotypes along with common character motivations but the action, puzzles, challenges and battles won me over, had a great time listening to this book

Okay story
Great performance but okay story
the story's okay and I'll be listening to the next book but some of the stuff just doesn't make sense too me
*Spoiler Warning*
like in a world where humans are living in the tower and idk maybe a couple thousand on other floors it seems a bit stupid for the guild or whatever to let students die while studying to be a tower climber
in a world like this the human population would have been drastically reduced with only a few percent of them being safe in the tower
I feel like at this point they can't let anyone die
idk just seems a bit stupid with all these deaths and sometimes feel like I'm listening to an anime plot
so it's just okay and still going to keep listening to the other books

Lacking
I don't mind some young adult fantasy, but this was mind numbing.
Not enjoyable at all for me.
