Publisher's Summary
The latest groundbreaking tome from Tim Ferriss, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek.
From the author:
"For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview. This unusual depth has helped make The Tim Ferriss Show the first business/interview podcast to pass 100 million downloads.
"This book contains the distilled tools, tactics, and 'inside baseball' you won't find anywhere else. It also includes new tips from past guests, and life lessons from new 'guests' you haven't met.
"What makes the show different is a relentless focus on actionable details. This is reflected in the questions. For example: What do these people do in the first 60 minutes of each morning? What do their workout routines look like, and why? What books have they gifted most to other people? What are the biggest wastes of time for novices in their field? What supplements do they take on a daily basis?
"I don't view myself as an interviewer. I view myself as an experimenter. If I can't test something and replicate results in the messy reality of everyday life, I'm not interested."
"Everything [in this audiobook] has been vetted, explored, and applied to my own life in some fashion. I've used dozens of the tactics and philosophies in high-stakes negotiations, high-risk environments, or large business dealings. The lessons have made me millions of dollars and saved me years of wasted effort and frustration.
"I created this book, my ultimate notebook of high-leverage tools, for myself. It's changed my life, and I hope the same for you."

Great book, bad audio book
Some excellent condensed content from some of the world's best and brightest.
Delivered by multiple uneccessary narrators and filled with author's notes that are often read by the narrator with no context.
Book needed 3 narrators, male for male guests, female for female guests and 1 male for Tim.

Inspiring... but not for me
This book is basically a series of superhumans giving away their performance enhancing secrets. I got about half way through it (it's long) and lost interest because they were all athletes or people interested in enhancing their physical strength. I was hoping more for stories from successful people across a variety of fields. As I'm not interested in becoming a world class athlete this didn't really appeal to me, but i can see how anyone who wants their body to be the best it can be, would really enjoy it.

Ordinary- the completely unrelated PDF fantastic!
I'm not enamoured of the audible book and, as others have stated, would work better as text - but when I downloaded the free supposedly associated PDF, pleasantly surprised to find it is a 55-page document tiled Gymnast Strong including diagrams & step-by-step techniques... as a Cross-Fitter, it is GOLD!

Thought provoking, knowledge packed resource
Thought provoking, knowledge packed resource. Tim has succinctly summarised a wealth of information from many of the greats, into an easy to listen to, easy to navigate format.
I’ve listened to a number of parts a couple of times through and will come back to this for inspiration again and again. Great listen, highly recommend.

Tim Ferris is so good at being Tim Ferris
Brilliant multitudes of exemplary modern day humans who display the infinite possibilities which present themselves when you are being you. Lovely q&a format; funny and inspiring. Read before bed if you want to be up all night, bouncing off the walls with a headful of new ideas.

An unlikely book about maximising your strengths
I've been a big fan of Ferriss for a while and was delighted when he released this gem! It's a very compact, concise collection of mindset tweaks you need to make to stop procrastinating and start accomplishing your goals.
One sentence that really stood out to me was 'the superheroes you have in your mind (idols, titans, billionaires, etc.) are nearly all walking flaws who have maximised one or two strengths'. It really made me think of what the 1-2 strengths are I need to maximise, that maybe I was overlooking, that I need to start to focus on and develop habits around.
Ferriss touches on The Von Restorff Effect, which I've never heard mentioned in personal development. It's a very cool way of looking at your attributes. Essentially the psychological theory touches on the idea that the more something stands out from the crowd the more likely it is to be seen. Applying this to your own self-analysis is crucial in developing your strengths and will shape the way you succeed in this world.
