About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands returns to the Highlands of Scotland in her hottest new historical romance yet!

Highlander Campbell Sinclair is no stranger to battle, so when he sees a lad attacked by bandits, he jumps into the fray. He didn't count on being stabbed. Grateful to the boy for nursing him back to health, Cam offers to accompany Jo safely to his destination. But when he accidentally comes across the lad bathing in the river, Cam discovers that Jo is actually Joan...with the most sinful of curves.

Joan promised her mother that she would deliver a scroll to the clan MacKay. But traveling alone is dangerous, even disguised as a boy. When a Scottish warrior lends his aid, she is more than relieved...until he surprises her with lingering kisses and caresses that prove her disguise hasn't fooled him. As their passion ignites, will the secrets of the scroll force a wedding...and lead to a love she's never known?

Absolutely ravishing

I must admit I started listening to the story for Keiran Elliotts voice and beautiful Scottish accent but stayed and continued still for Keiran but also for the breathtaking story filled with gripping love scenes, beautiful characters and their developments, it’s smooth comedy, and it’s page turning plot.
Overall was a masterpiece of a book, highly recommend to any looking for a comfort read with a good mouth watering amount of spice and a smooth flowing plot with a bit of a twist.
Though I feel I must mention that the female lead was a bit on the annoying side as she was constantly playing the sympathy and negative Nancy card and I know for some that can be a deal breaker for a book.

Now for Keiran Elliot’s review ~
** clearing throat **
This mans voice was nothing less than an absolute masterpiece. He narrated it perfectly changing pitch as well as accent to fit the characters I was completely mesmerised by it, I honestly couldn’t focus on anything else as I was listening to him. I’m embarrassed to say that my family caught me in those moments a couple of times.
They said and I quote
“You were just standing there staring at nothing, smiling. I honestly thought you were having a stroke till I saw the earphones in your ear.”
Keiran’s deep voice matched with his heavenly Scottish accent was pure unadulterated music to my soul.
I don’t think men reading with english accents will be good enough anymore.
Ahahah anywhooo I digress
I highly recommend and hope to the Dear Lord that Keiran Elliott reads another one of these Scottish highland books :))))

the story was good but had a similar feeling to the first book just a different story plot. it was ok and I might still listen to another but it wouldn't be my first pick to listen too.
