About this listen
The first book in an irresistible duet by the globally bestselling author of the Bridgerton series. If you loved Bridgerton, you'll adore the Lyndon Sisters . . .
Eleanor Lyndon was minding her own business when a lord of the realm fell—quite literally—into her life. When Charles Wycombe, the dashing and incorrigible Earl of Billington, toppled out of a tree and landed at Ellie's feet, neither suspected that such an inauspicious meeting would lead to marriage. But Charles must find a bride before his thirtieth birthday or he'll lose his fortune. And Ellie needs a husband or her father's odious fiancée will choose one for her. And so they agree to wed.
Ellie never dreamed she'd marry a stranger, especially one with such a devastating combination of rakish charm and debonair wit. She tries to keep him at arm's length, at least until she discovers the man beneath the handsome surface. But Charles can be quite persuasive—even tender—when he puts his mind to it, and Ellie finds herself slipping under his seductive spell. And as one kiss leads to another, this unlikely pair discovers that their marriage is not so inconvenient after all...and just might lead to love.
'Julia Quinn's Bridgerton books take all of the classic tropes we know and love . . . and gives them a thoroughly modern twist. I can't focus on anything else' Stylist

Wrong title and description of story! Not the story or the people described in title description
I love this story, but it is not the Story in the title details at all. This story is about Caroline and Blake. Nothing to do with people falling out of trees. There is no Ellie and no Charles!

Amazing
I was so pleased they finally turned To Catch an Heiress as an audiobook.
As usual the narrator Rosalyn Landor brought this book to life. The characters differentiation in voices was incredible each character had their own voice.
The story is a mix of humour, emotional and action packed. Loved every minute of this audiobook and story.

I waited 18months for this
I pre ordered this book in march 2023. I got an email every month saying it was delayed. It finally was available. And meh… I was expecting so much more from Julia Quinn. The book description is also wrong. It’s describing a completely different book.

Fatuous heroine
It’s insulting to the reader when you set the heroine up as being smart and sassy, and then put very unintelligent words in her mouth. I’m all for the escapism of a good romance but the cognitive dissonance of this was waaaaayy too much for me. 3 chapters in and I’m out.
Also, a thing that is weirdly annoying as a user of English grammar rather than American grammar: the narrator has the plummiest of English voices and very correct English pronunciation, so every time she reads the obviously American author’s idiom of “getting down off of” the horse or whatever it grates, hard. It’s upper class English, or it’s not; make up your mind.
