Publisher's Summary

Book 7 in the New Species series.

Zandy’s had too much to drink and is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She knows she’s going to die. When next her eyes open, a beautiful man-creature is holding her in his arms. He’s just too tempting to resist; her very own fallen angel. She wraps herself around his body, determined to have him. But when this angel turns out to be flesh and blood, reality crashes in - she’s seducing a New Species.

Tiger’s shock quickly turns to intense passion when the human female kisses him, despite the fact she’s trying to get his clothes off while he’s engaged in a task force operation. He’s also made it clear he’ll never take a mate. Rather difficult when he and Zandy can’t keep their hands off each other. The taste and feel of his little human just leaves Tiger wanting more.

Publisher’s Note: While each New Species book is a standalone, the greatest enjoyment will come from listening to them in series order.

Editorial reviews

Gaining consciousness in the arms of an enticingly handsome, not wholly human creature, Zandy believes herself to be an accidental victim of a senseless bar brawl being carried to the afterlife. Instead, in another of best-selling author Laurann Dohner’s New Species erotic romances, she is about to feel more sensually pleasured and alive than ever before. Ali Ahn, veteran of television crime dramas and the New York stage, brings a vocal complexity to characters using each other to overcome a mutual mistrust. Ironically, in giving as good as she gets, Zandy turns a purr into an unexpected roar from Tiger, head of security for the New Species Organization, who has sworn never to commit to any one female.

loved it

I'm really enjoying listening to all the books in this series they really are great. The narrator really does a good job.
In this book I loved to see tigers comeuppance, while he is a beautiful man he did tend to go and tell others that never would he take a mate. But his mate is a beautiful red head and she has issues as well

NSOs nest story focuses on Slades commitment phob. bud TIGER

There's not much to dislike. To me an excellant series has:
1. you not only engaged with the main characters, but those who surround them.
Answer
Yes. The background development of Tiger throughout, particularly with Slade is funny. His determination not to fall into a committed mating like his brothers as each book details their fall.
2. Would you still get as much enjoyment if it was a PG rated story.
Answer
Yes. This is so well crafted that it can fade to next interaction without missing a beat. It's that good. The only reason I tried audible was to own this series.
3. a background character/s made you wish they would be the next story.
Answer
Hell yes so many Trey, Breeze, Flame, Harly, Midnight, Blaze, Brass, Jenco,Rusty.. Secretly Trey and Breese would be funny.
4. you so obsessed/unfulfilled for more years after series stopped adding books.
Answer
Yes. Friends was the last but it's not on audiobook such a travesty. when YouTube no longer had it I went on audible now I own this series.
5. the narrator emerced you in that world.
Answer
Hell yes amongst the best multi gender narrative on par with Andi Arnt

So if you want humour/romance/adventure/erotica/great character cast/genetic naniplation/layered intricacies/believable universe this series is all that...but you will want more. So if your like me check out Laurann Dohner.

Excellent

Zandy Gordon meets Tiger who she thinks is a fallen angel after he saves her life after she is crushed to death in bar fight. She thinks she is going to hell so why not kiss the hell out of the angel who just saved her and Tiger is so into it he nearly takes her on the hood of his Jeep. Sometime later Zandy begins her new job at Reservation and from there the sparks really fly between her and Tiger of course there are some serious bumps in their path. The story is full of some serious bad guys, lots of action, laugh out loud humour and scorching hot sexual interactions, everything needed for an entertaining book and I highly recommend it and the series as a whole.

Good, but could have been better if...

This author writes an entertaining story, although I had two issues with it. 1. I got really sick of all the sex and it was annoying to be constantly having to take off my work gloves to fast forward through it all. Seriously, occasionally Ms Dohner could have just let the couple retire with a wink, instead of graphic description of every darn encounter. 2. The hero had the worst voice. The narrator made him sound like an inbred idiot, the way Tiger spat his words out. The dialogue could have been really funny and sexy in places, if only Ms Chambers gave the character a decent chance. Let’s hope that poor Smiley never gets his own book, because he sounds even worse. In fairness, they females all were portrayed excellently.
My suggestion: read it, don’t get the Audible
