Publisher's Summary

FROM THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR

Thrown Away Child
is a memoir covering Louise Allen’s abusive childhood in a foster home, how she survived - using her love of art as a sanctuary - and how she hopes to right old wrongs now by fostering children herself and campaigning for the improvement of foster care services. It is a compelling and inspirational story. This book gives a voice to the many children who grew up unhappily in care.

Confronting but inspiring, heartbreaking but beautiful. A book about hurt, hatred, love and forgiveness. Highly recommend.

Amazing

I listened to this book in two days, Louise tells her story so we'll and against all odds she got her message out, I am really amazed at what she went through but also saddened. I loved the ending too.

the raw passion; hate, love, cruelty and then forgiveness.

The truth is often confronting, however, the story needs to be told. This author has to be one of the bravest people I have heard.

Couldn’t put it down

I came across this book whilst scrolling.
Louise’s story was difficult to hear to first. I almost stopped listening because I was uncomfortable. So grateful for Louise to share her trauma. This was an education. How wonderful that she eventually used all the evil she endured for good. Bless.
