Publisher's Summary
Lola has every reason to be interested in who Paddy de Courcy is marrying - because although she's his girlfriend, she definitely isn't the bride. Heartbroken, she flees the city for a cottage by the sea. But will her retreat prove as idyllic as she hopes?
Not if journalist Grace has anything to do with it. Grace knew Paddy a long time ago. But why can't she forget him? Grace's sister, Marnie, might have the answer but she also has issues with the past. Her family is wonderful but they can't take away memories of her first love: a certain Paddy de Courcy. What will it take for Marnie to be able to move on?
And what of the future Mrs de Courcy? Alicia is determined to be the perfect politician's wife. But does she know the real Paddy de Courcy?
Four very different women. One awfully charming man. And the dark secret that binds them all....

I love it.
I loved this book so much. I finished today and actually felt really sad that it was over. I am really going to miss Lola, Grace and Marnie. There is a hole in my life now!

Great audiobook.
This book was really different to how I thought it would be. I loved it though. The characters who are all linked were interesting and I honesty couldn't pick a favorite. I also really liked how the narrator spoke in different ways for each character. Sometimes it was as if one of the characters spoke in bullets points or note form.
I really enjoyed this book and got more and more addicted the further the story went along.

Issue with recording
Half way through the first book the narrative just stops and a completely new story starts. Must be an error because it makes absolutely no sense!

Loved this so much
I was a bit slow to warm to this story and almost didn’t continue but I am so happy that I persevered. I fell in love with these characters and the story was so wonderful I didn’t want it to end!

Laughed and cried
I’ve read lots of Marian Keyes’ books and this was my first audio. I loved it. The narration was masterful and brought out the quirky characters even better than I would’ve on my own.

I didn't enjoy the agenda style of writing.
I didn't enjoy the staccato style of narration. It didn't flow for me. Thank you for the opportunity to share my feedback.

Word drop
Really funny and entertaining. The only irritatingly annoying thing was the word dropping, such as "the" "and" "a".Easy enough to add in my head as the narrator is reading, but why do it? The narration was excellent.I will certainly purchase more of Marian Keyes books.

Brilliant!
Irish humour was brilliant whilst tackling sensitive topics of violence against women and unconditional love.
Easy to listen to narrator who reflected appropriate emotions and context.
highly recommended.
