About this listen

Thinking outside the box resulted in the best night of my life. Until I discover the man I spent it with is my new boss.

Attending a secret party where clothes are optional wasn’t a life goal of mine. But when the exclusive invitation ends up in my mailbox by accident...well. Who wouldn't be curious? It's not like I'm going to do anything. The handsome stranger I meet has different plans. One glance across the crowded party and an hour later we're stretched out on silk. Our night together is glorious. No names and no regrets. But I’d forgotten there’s always a price to pay for pleasure. I find out the cost when I start my internship. Tristan Conway, a.k.a. my handsome stranger. Powerful, determined, intriguing...and single. Oh, and he wants to see me in his office.

Brilliant

I enjoyed this story and was surprised at the adventurous nature presented. I look forward to more books from the author. Great narration.

Enjoyable

Enjoyed the story - light but not easy - I found it hard to distinguish the voices - keep getting the characters mixed up - maybe duet reading would have helped

Let down by the voice actors

An engaging story with believable characters that didn't leave you frustrated and desperate for relationship progression.
The story was let down by the narration. A breathy, squeaky female lead and a male lead that read like it was his turn in class to read a section of the book. I almost stopped listening after the first chapter but persevered because I enjoyed the storyline.

no miscommunication

it is a good wholesome story. no big mutiple miscommunication storylines which can be frustrating to a reader as sometimes authors add to bulk the story. this did not have it. I would have like a chapter on Freddie with her work colleagues explaining her relationship. It does not show her relationship properly with anyone else apart from Tristan. Also would have been lovely to have two epilogues. the extra Tristan and his son discussing planning the proposal. and it being excuted. but will defo be going to find the other books to read.

Great story

Great story. Loved their connection! Great performances by Mercer Boffey and Ava Blair although the gaps in speech were a little annoying.

Just okay

The two narrators read at different speeds which is so jarring at each change over
(the male reads significantly faster). He also has a very annoying squeaky ‘s’ which really took my focus away from the story. In terms of the story, I wish the beginning scenes at the club went for longer - that was the best part and way too brief. More visits to the club would have been better than the go nowhere plot lines like her fear of heights and the mole at the company. Neither plot line added anything to the overall story. All in all, it was okay with some good parts and some not so good parts.
