Publisher's Summary
Best-selling author Lucy Score returns to Knockemout, Virginia, following fan-favorite Things We Never Got Over with Knox's brother Nash's story.
Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end.
He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.
Lina has her reasons for being in town. She’s on a mission and the fewer people that find out about it, the better. She does her best work alone, and as soon as she finds what she’s after, she’s hitting the road for the next solo adventure.
Too bad the town of Knockemout has other ideas. Soon Lina finds herself sucked into small-town life.

fluffy and fun with a little bit of extra spice
A good cop in a small town meets a city girl questioning her life.
Mutual pining by two idiots who flat out refuse to accept themselves and their giant crushes.
I'm a sucker for a wounded hero too...
Action packed drama is balanced with plenty of moments that actually made me laugh out loud.
I would happily read the backstory of every character in this book.
Grateful to my girlfriends for recommending this author. I hope they're willing to fund my epic binge through all her books now!

This was sooo good
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This was sooo good but just not quite as good as Things we Never got over.
I enjoyed book 1 a lot so my anticipation to read Things We Hide From The Light was high! I powered through this as i just didn’t want to put it down. I loved being back in Knockemout.
Lina and Nash ♥️ They were great as individuals and great as a couple. They had crazy chemistry that I couldn’t get enough of!
Lina is a totally badass, so strong and independent - a totally fantastic FMC
And Nash… what a hunk! Not to mention he is super sweet and vulnerable, behind his hard exterior.
I really enjoy the duel POV and getting both sides of the story.
Lucy Scores writing style remains easy to read and completely captivating. The plot and storyline were amazing and the characters had really good development!
“Nash struck me as the settling-down type, and I was allergic to relationships”
The main thing I didn’t really love in this book was the ‘third act’ conflict. It just felt repetitive and a bit too similar to book one.
What you’ll find in Things we Hide from the Light:
Small town
Slow burn
Forced proximity
Neighbours
Man in uniform
Mental health issues
Piper ♥️
The third instalment, Things we Left Behind, follows Sloane and Lucian and I cant wait to see more of them!
